We left Asanvari and went to Pentecost island on 14 and 15 Aug. Here we are visiting
a bay to see a famous waterfall

We left Pentecost and sailed to dark and broody Ambryn, dominated by an active
volcano, dark volcanic sand and deep mysterious forests
In the middle of the forest after a long long walk we came to a clearing where
the local people danced their original dances the men only dressed in nambas,
peniscovers and the women in grass skirts.
Speaking in a modern microphone the traditional dress looked a little bit funny
Most of the time they danced with their backsides to us
The next day we took a walk along the coast of Ambryn. This willage was a little
bit inland
We found giant spiders
and met these villagers at a wedding ceremony. All the food piles are gifts to
the newlyweds.
Not only roots and vegetables and fruit but also meat were presented as gifts

Adèle changed anchorage during our walk and we spotted her again from
a high vantage point.
I'm taking a photo. . .
of Adèle
Arriving at the beach, the reflections of the sun and the shining canoes, cut
out from logs, stand out against the black lava sand.
