Bow Anchors

Two stainless steel anchors forward, each 300 kg with 19 mm galvanised chain, 150 m each.

Adèle has two anchor windlasses with vertical gipsies, hydraulically driven, placed around 12 m back from the bow (to get the chain weight further aft and also to facilitate inspection of the chain lockers). The remote control for the windlasses can be operated at the bow. The same control can also operate the bow thrusters.

The chain lockers with two inspection hatches built into each locker are easily accessible from the corridor in the crew area. Chainlockers and hawse pipes are covered with sound absorbent lining.

Stern Anchor

One aluminium stern anchor, 50 kg with 10 m of chain, 12 mm, and 100 m of rope 20 mm. This anchor is mounted underneath the deck in the stern and deployed by opening a hatch in the bottom of the stern. The chain/line goes over a horizontal windlass (Lewmar) in the anchor locker.

Mooring Lines and Fenders

6 mooring lines 30 m and 2 mooring lines 50 m, all of Octoply 30 mm. Four throw lines. 150 m floating polypro 25 mm line stored in a locker in the aftship.

12 inflatable fenders 1.2 x 0.6 m and 6 Polyform fenders 1.0 x 0.4 m.

Two Lewmar 111 winches (forward) (separate from the anchor winches) and two similar winches aft serve as warping / mooring winches as well.
